blueberry fudge

good afternoon on this chilly saturday.  mom finished up blueberry fudge on Wednesday.  dad put it up yesterday along with 3 other quilts.  the place looks so much different.  the batteries were going dead in the camera so i could only squeeze out 1 picture.  i took a picture of blueberry fudge, so all of you could get a look at the finished product.  it is SOOOOOO pretty, and so completely different from what we have done for block of the month quilts in the past.

We are doing this block of the month different.  $12 a month will get you 12 blocks, alternating blocks, setting triangles, block and outer borders along with binding and a patterns to put the entire thing together!!!  no registration fee or finishing kit fee!  we need to know asap so we can get our order in before the fabric is gone.  if you are interested let me know.  the picture above does not do it justice…stop in and take a look…

the header above…it is our quilt that will accompany the article in Quilt Sampler 2010.  i’m not sure of the price at the moment, but are taking pre-orders for the kit and the magazine (signed copy of course)…the magazine including tax will be $7.47…reserve yours today!  call with a credit card number and i’ll get that run and your magazine is guaranteed.

we are planning lots and lots of fun things to usher in this exciting event…we’ll have a party of some sort to celebrate among other events…until later…

monday…monday

today has been good…so far.  dad came over and put up the trim around our doorway (which we painted Scottish Road) the trim will be white.  it is going to look just grand when it is finished.

mom put together more of our block of the month…Blueberry Fudge…the picture below.  it does not do this quilt justice.  the colors are not really blueberry and fudge…more like cream, grey-blue and dark toast.  i strongly suggest stopping in and taking a look if you are slightly interested in joining.  (we need a final count so we can get in extra fabrics for settings, borders, etc.

our civil war prints came in today…these are a little more floral then what we have.  a nice change from the norm.  Tradition by Howard Marcus for moda.

i got in pictures of the Quilt Minnesota 2010 fabrics.  i am taking pre-orders for them now.

Blueberry Fudge

we finally got in our block of the month fabrics…they are so yummy…blueberry and fudge colors.  mom already has a couple blocks together so you can get an idea.  there are still spots open, but the fabric is discountinued so we need to know asap if you are interested in joining so we can be sure that everyone gets setting triangles, borders, etc.  cost is only $12 a month…no registration fee or binding cost.  Starts on Saturday, January 9.

 also we got in a group of Fig and Plum from Fig Tree.  scrumptious plum, kiwi, peach, and milk.

mom is going to finish up block of the month before starting something using the Fig and Plum line.

Quilt Minnesota 2010

i just got the final price on Quilt MN 2010 fabrics.  they will retail for $9.49/yard.  there will also be charm packs available.  we will probably cut 5 inch, 2 1/2 inch, and 1 1/2 inch strips, 10 inch squares and fat quarters, as soon as i have all the pre-cut bundle prices figured i will let you know.  There are 20 prints and panel approximately 5 inch squares–total of 21 bolts in the Quilt MN 2010 line.  we are planning on making a Scenic Overlook out of the line using the light all over print as the border.  we are taking pre-orders for the fabric.  it will arrive sometime in May/June but CANNOT leave the shop until Friday, July 30th.

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

                                                  

 there are only 19 prints because there is a cream marble that doesn’t show up against the white screen.

the day is here!!!!!  Our big news is…………………..

Sweetwater has been chosen as a TOP 10 Shop and will appear in the Spring issue of Quilt Sampler magazine!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Jennifer the editor of Quilt Sampler called us in August (Dad and Tina happened to be here on the day) and they took pictures of the shoppe in September (some of you stopped by that day).
