figgy parade candy

I’m glad the quilt mn 2012 pictures are out of the way and they have been submitted for the display contest.  Winner will be notified after the shop hop…here’s hoping!  But even if we don’t win…we still really like our display.  Can’t wait to change it up again…but that’s what we do–right?

I have done new parade candy…thought it was appropriate being it’s summer and every little town is celebrating summer with parades and candy and floats.

I’m not a fan of parades…but do love me some candy!  Especially cotton parade candy…and especially figgy parade candy.  These will be available in our online shop at right.  So luscious…so pretty…i would fight some little kid for these!

check out the fabric bales on Wednesday morning…

enjoy!   xoxoxo–a&m  {sweetwater}

friday…fun!

this week has been filled with tons of fun…

Wednesday we finally got our order for Strawberry Fields…just lovely, they are!  Mom is currently working on a fun summer throw.  then she’s going to put together a set of Tea and Bisuits throw pillows using the check and the grey.  {right now though, all i have is a picture of the bolts}

Then yesterday, we got in a little bit of Pure by Sweetwater {the paper company}.  This line is full of natural, latte, splash, craft, and cocoa colors along with lovely font prints, stripes, and bubbles.  Mom will be putting together a quilt out of it just as soon as the Strawberry Fields throw is finished.

for my birthday this past April, Megan got me this lovely distressed frame…it matches this line perfectly–as do the little egg candles, so for a cottage look…check out the framed fabric below…i’ll be putting a tutorial on our sister blog… blissfully cottage sometime this weekend.

then lastly, today…QUILT MN 2011…has arrived!  along with some leather diamond pillows, striped throws, and cottage rose afgans.

Striped Throws:  $40/each

cottage rose afghan:  $50.00  {colors didn’t photo well…the peach is more of a pink color}

Quilt to right is still unnamed, as soon as the pattern and kits are finished up, i’ll be posting several new samples.

ps…as soon as the quilt mn samples are finished the kits will be available for presale and the shop will be changed around…i’m talking a total floor move…serious EXTREME SWEETWATER MAKEOVER!  more details on that later!

Sugar Pop & Banana Cream & Fig Jelly

You’d think this was a post about food…it’s not…{I am, however, munching on Lays Original Kettle Chips and sipping some Mountain Dew and seriously considering breaking open the roll of Thin Mints }…but enough about food…moving on…

Mom has put together a few cute lovelies for you.

First up is Sugar Pop.  A combined effort of Blake’s Sweet Divinity and Penny Lane fabric lines.  The stacked rows are set off with a lime green and bordered with a luscious pink…backing is the Font print from Penny Lane.  Quilt measures 56 x 74 inches.

Next up is Banana Cream…a sweet little baby quilt that uses banana, cream, and chocolate.  A variation of Fudge and Roses this uses a Soft and Fluffy in cream and backed with the yellow disc print from Whimsy.  Quilt measures 35 x 46 inches.

Fig Jelly…you guessed it…a jelly of Fig Tree…but not just any Fig Tree…this jelly is 40–2 1/2 inch strips from lines spanning from Buttercream and Fig {their premier line} to Buttercup {their spring 2011 line}.  Spanning the colors from cream and butter to eggplant and chocolate.

And i almost forgot…Basically Kaye {a pattern by Kaye England} not named after food…but visually delicious!  Made using a mixture of civil war prints.  This quilt is stunning at 48 x 60 inches.

To purchase Sugar Pop, Banana Cream, Fig Jelly or Basically Kaye…go to our etsy shoppe at left.

happy quilting!

Night Moon

so i just googled “Luna Notte” and it means “Moon Night” in Italian…which is what i thought it meant.  our Luna Notte arrived on Thursday–interestingly enough, i swear i had placed an order for this gorgeous fabric line, last spring after getting back from market…low and behold, no shipment, no order, and fabric left.  so mom and i thought up an idea…we (ha…isn’t that funny!) are going to make Lisbon, with chenille setting triangles and matching pillowcases.  mom is working on that as i type, so hopefully she’ll have that whipped together next week sometime.  kits will be ready to go shortly thereafter.  they use a layer cake, background, borders, and binding.  we have the bolts below in stock, but are going to be getting in charms, jellies, and more bolts…

mom put together this simple tote this week.  it is the pre-pieced fabric from Astor Manor.  perfect for that college kid!  i don’t have the kits figured out yet, but here is a picture of it.

next up the new fall wall hanging, Acorn Fun.  it uses Sandy Gervais’ new panel from her line Awesome.  check out the pictures below.

Peppermint Sticks with a taste of fig tree!

Then lastly a couple FUN treats.

our new sweet rolls…Retro Hello Betty, Kansas Winter, Nostalgia, and Quilt MN.  $6.50/each.

now some Nell’s Flower Shop woven bundles…fun for fall…

fun AlphaBeads and vintage ribbons…

and lastly, magnets…with a vintage spin from tinaRie studio

okay…several fun treats…

if you have anyquestions feel free to email me or call 320.243.4436.
