Sweet Christmas & Holly

i didn’t lie…here i am with pictures galore!  Christmas is by far my favorite holiday to decorate for.  i love the twinkling lights, the glitter, and the feeling of warmth that you get when you walk amongst the decorated trees.  we have 5 trees this year.  each has their own personality, their own identity if you will.

first off…the primitive tree.  this tree came together at the last minute with what we had leftover from year’s past and what we had on the shelf this year.  we mixed raffia left over from fall decorating with strips of homespuns, sweet snowmen, candy canes, and red mittens.  then finished it off with a large antique spool and a homespun “tree skirt” (table topper).

next up…is the tree that adorns the window…chocolate, aqua, and gold.  just lovely.

the quilt below is brand spanking new and features winter wonderland flannel…the quilt is called Snowy Afternoon and will be available on etsy…just as soon as i get to it–feel free to email, convo, or call if you would like to purchase the kit.  only several left!

cabbages & roses…one of our favorite new designers…this quilt Shabby Roses uses a layer cake and a ribbon stitched border print…beautiful…the duffle is also kitted…mixed with a cake plate heaping with sage colored bulbs and a red doll box…it is christmas-esque in a sweet and subtle way.

Ruby…the fall line by Bonnie & Camille…was the perfect inspiration for the feather tree and its decor.  we used apple green, cherry red, and creamy white bulbs…ornaments inspired by candy–ribbon candy, peppermints, and lollypops.  Then to bring the 50’s whimsy full circle…we plopped the tree in an oversized aqua-polka-dot–coffee cup!  how much fun is that?!  tons…i tell you…tons.  paired it with some red and aqua accents and it’s a winner!  the quilt is one of mom’s new designs called…Ruby’s Ribbon Candy

Butterscotch & Rose…the lovely Fig Tree line…is now in stores and man is it GORGEOUS!  i’ve put together bundles and rolls and we still have some charm packs and honeybuns left.  i decorated a tree using the chocolate, bronze, red, and creamy pink.

and lastly…the silver tree…the perfect addition to our display that focuses on grey…gray…silver…slate–whatever they are calling this color nowadays…we mixed it in with a touch of red from etchings by 3 sisters…and the lovely grey, pink, blue, and cream from Puttin’ on the Ritz…

the pink bulbs we’ve had floating around for 5 years…match this line perfectly–you can see them in the white egg basket beside the pinks.

–* i ♥ the gray R and the SGS (sweetgirlstudio) burlap pillow.

a few more pics from around the shoppe…hope you enjoy the decor…stop on in this Sunday…yardage and kits are on sale–make & take projects…SAVOR the SUNDAY> see Santa…sleigh rides…the holiday season is upon us!

we’ve baked up some more mini’s…kits are pre-cut and ready to “bake”.

events will be posted to the upcoming events page!

we hope to see you soon!

happy quilting!
