Sweetwater’s 12 Days of Christmas…Day 4

sweetwater's 12 days of christmas

4 Calling Birds…or BLISS…i just love this quilt.  it is SO pretty.  it uses 61 different prints.  so you get the scrappy look without having to dig through your stash.  enough fabric left for 2 shams (front only) or a couple throw pillows!

with your purchase of the BLISS kit  you will receive a Charming BOOK FREE…lovely for spring!  it includes the much loved Cottage Charm pattern…among others!

and now some history of day 4 of the 12 days of christmas…first off….4 calling birds.  i went with parakeets (we used to have parakeets when i was younger).  they are approximately $20/each so a total of $80.  no shipping because you can pick them up at any pet store.  the yellow and blue ones are my favorite!

“Catholics in England during the period 1558 to 1829, when Parliament finally emancipated Catholics in England, were prohibited from ANY practice of their faith by law – private OR public. It was a crime to BE a Catholic.” –www.byrum.org

Thus The 12 Days of Christmas was written as a memory aid to learning the Christian Faith.  The 4 Calling Birds refers to the Four Gospels and/or the Four Evangelists.

So that’s all for day 4.

**remember today only with purchase of the from our Etsy shoppe you will receive the pattern FREE!  be sure to let me know in the “Note to Seller” if you want me to hold all your orders until the end of the 12 days.  your order will then ship on or around Jan. 9th.  Shipping will be figured and any extra charges will be refunded.
