Goose, Goose, Star

hope you had a wonderful 4th of july!  we spent the day cleaning (yuck) for our party tomorrow, but it was a nice mid-week day off!

mom finished up Goose, Goose, Star on Wednesday, and i quilted it right a way.  i also quilted up Sun-washed, but we didn’t get it bound or ruffled so i don’t have pics of that yet…hopefully tonight or sunday.

however, Goose, Goose, Star is all finished up…we will be washing it, but i do have some pictures of it.  i think the tonals in Quilt MN 2013 are so soft and sweet.  we paired them with an unbleached muslin…they just look so yummy!  the center is our free 9 inch block pattern…Sun-washed Star and it is surrounded by flying geese.  kits are $15.00 and include the binding…background and book are separate.

as we cut we are saving the selveges and are putting together a Selvage Snapper…we will have kits available…selveges, the metal “snapper”, lining, snapper casing, tab, and pattern.  i don’t have a price on this yet, but i’ll get you one.  these make wonderful coin purses, notion bag, thread pouch, or a little case for bits, baubles, ribbon, threads, and other ditties…and the perfect way to commemorate Quilt MN 2013!

we will have muslin cut for all the quilts, but it won’t be included in the kits.

mom is busily working on the next Quilt MN project…a Prairie Slumber Bag variation using charm squares and the poster panel…more pictures coming your way early next week!

be sure to check out our facebook page on sunday for updates via Instagram of our “Glamper Camper with the purple door!”

have a wonderful weekend!
