2 Cents…Fig Tree STyLe

okay…so if you follow us via Facebook (if you don’t feel free to like us!  Click the “F” to the right)…you know that we did up a new 2 Cents table topper…our original had been made using Luna Notte, a lovely floral line by 3 Sisters.  it was a little bit majestic, a little bit floral, a little bit elegant–or take a look at the picture below.  this lovely topper has been sold out for months…the actual topper even found a home!2 cents3

so i was trying to think of a new Fig Tree project using these mixed charm packs…i saw this pattern sitting on the table and knew that it would be perfect.  mom pieced it up today then i quilted it and mom bound it.  we opted not to wash it because it lays SO nice!  i just kept taking pictures of it…it is SO pretty.  charm pack squares are from an assortment of Fig Tree lines including:  A Day in the Country, Whimsy, Millhouse Inn, Butterscotch and Rose, Cinnamon Stars, Buttercream and Fig, Dandelion Girl, Urban Indigo, Folklorique, and Pattiserie.

2Don’t worry…i swear i didn’t eat the strawberry shortcake off the table topper.

we have kits cut and ready…they will include a mixed charm pack (each one is unique but including Fig Tree and coordinates…meaning a tad of Bunny Hill prints, A Whisper of Roses, and possibly French General–but lovely, whimsical, and wonderful all the same!  there is a tad of Bunny Hill in our sample if you look close) and some yardage for the border and binding…which is NOT a Fig Tree print but from the lovely Whisper of Roses line by Maywood.  kits are $17 and includes the binding…pattern is $4.25.

it was SUPER delish!

also…remember that HuGe poster panel that accompanies Quilt MN 2013?  it is something like 20 x 36 inches…well, we have come up with a really good idea on how to make it wall art without making a wall hanging.  more on that in the next week or so.

we are getting all ready for our Bemidji Show next weekend…July 19th and 20th…be sure to stop by and see us!

happy quilting!
