yesterday we got in a curated selection of Sarah’s Collection by Elm Creek Quilts and have paired it with the solid-y tonals from Padstow Range…we’ll are still in the design stages, but i’m seeing some 4-patches, white muslin, and a grey from Field Notes in the future.

Elegant pincushion using wonderful shabby Fig prints and creamy wool. looks good enough to eat! this beauty is kitted using a variety of fig tree prints and various wool choices…including: apricot, persimmon, sour apple, pomegranate, cream to name a few. i’ll get pictures of the kits in a the next day or so. (if you are interested in a kit…the Elegant kit is available here just put in the note to seller what your wool choice is along with the words “Fig Tree”)
***sidenote: a fun way to use vintage glassware…whether its plates, bowls, compotes, cake plates, etc…store your pincushions, buttons, thread, bundles…etc. they will be in use, but won’t need to be washed–a total win-win!
A Sweet Girl Sew Essential: Grandmother’s Garden pincushion…this delightful little gem makes use of a 3/4 inch hexi flower and a vintage zinc lid. She is kitted for $9.50. i’ll be adding her to the etsy shoppe in the next few days…if you need her sooner–let me know.
Line Dried…our newest lovely reminds me of vintage floral sheets. We picked our favorite large florals on cream and white backgrounds and ended up with delightfully shabby quilt that measures a 70 x 86 inches which is perfect for summertime! kits are $123.50 and include pattern and binding.
Another Sweet Girl Sewing Essential: Needle Cookies…who doesn’t love cookies? whether they are from the Girl Scouts–thin mints, carmel delites, and peanut butter patties are my faves, oreos, or these little snacks–cookies are a must! these cookies arrive precut for you and include: 2 outsides, 2 insides, and precut wool for the petals and leafs along with a vintage button from our button box. petal colors include: rose, lilac, and sunshine. kits are available now…i’ll be listing them in the next few days. 
Orange Dreamsicle…this is our newest Sweet Confection. It measures just 11 x 11 inches and features luscious prints from Fig Tree. A mixture of Whimsy, Cinnamon Stars, and Millhouse Inn to name a few. Each kit is made up of scraps…so they all vary, but will include authentic Fig Tree prints. Kits are precut and retail for $20.00.
okaee-dokee…that’s all for today. i’m going to get back to my day off. we do have a few other things–Mirabelle jelly rolls and yardage, Country Summer project ready to be quilted, a wall hanging, and that sweet Sarahs’ Collection project. i’ll post some pictures when those are finished up.
