almost Christmas…

I was looking back through the posts and saw that I have been neglecting my poor blog.  we are going to have to change that.

so…now that the Christmas Morning Quilt Along is all wrapped up…I can breathe for a moment until Countryside starts in a week.

to start gather 3 charm packs or 126–5 inch squares…if you need to have sashing, border and ruffle figured out you will also need 3 yards each of 2 prints.  this way you can swap them if you like.  our kit is ready to go and features the lovely Petite Wovens by French General, a shirting from Atelier by 3 Sisters, and a fabulous unbleached muslin.  kits are available online or in the shoppe.

the main attraction today is Richmond Spool (hence the post name)…I am in LOVE with this project.  we mixed Richmond Reds, Autumn Lily, and Atelier with some wool applique and embroidery.  the result is breathtaking…Richmond Spool measures 30 x 36 inches and is kitted up with Richmond Reds, Autumn Lily, and Atelier fabrics, hand-dyed wool, and EdMar threads for embroidery.

Do you love the nostalgic feel of Richmond Reds…we have bundles left of this gorgeous line!  Vintage feel with olde world red, tan, green, cream, and grey-green…perfect for holiday décor, table runners, a Fat Quarter quilt, or break it up to start a civil war stash.

I was looking back through posts and realized I never posted any information on Cherry Cobbler made from Atelier.  This project uses a layer cake and primitive muslin…loving this background so much I’m using it in my Lucy Boston.  Cherry Cobbler measures 73 x 87 inches and is still available.

As for Christmas…it has arrived at Sweetwater…if you haven’t stopped in to see the lights, trees, and fun holiday ideas…be sure to stop on by.  if you won’t get a chance or live outside the area stop on back here for a post packed full of fun ideas for the holiday season.  I do enjoy twinkling lights, so it is wonderfully sparkly in here…especially at night…

we have a new project on the horizon…Sugar Cookies uses all low volume prints and is so sweet.

if you are on our email list…I don’t know if i’ll get one out to you this evening…otherwise…check in with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Etsy for online shopping!
