good afternoon! i started this post last week…the day of that 2nd snowfall…the snowfall that stuck. i had worn sandals…so i was shoveling in flip flops…and so it goes!
i never did finish up that blog post…so i decided today is the day.
the rest of our September collections have arrived…
first up is Dover…soft tones of green, blue, grey, and cream…a great way to escape to the sea without leaving your living room. you can grab some dover here.
finally…Yesterday arrived. Jo Morton’s newest collection is filled to the brim with what i like to think of as “classic Jo Morton”. little prints in soft shades of brown, tan, red, cheddar, and blue…perfect for adding to your civil war stash or a perfect collection to start one. Grab precuts and yardage of Yesterday here.
we have a few other goodies today as well…Festive Liberty bundles have arrived…available here.
lots of low volume christmas…including this lovely bundle…an updated bundle from last year includes all the new collections we’ve gotten in this year…Glad Tidings, Yuletide, Christmas Traditions, Deer Christmas, and Santa Claus Lane…grab the bundle here and shop all the low volume yardage here.
a few things have been arriving and projects have been finished…just need to proof patterns, take pictures and put together kits…so i’d best get going…
oh…and Sweet Sunday Dilly Bag kits are back in stock…the perfect way to try a little EPP without stressing over such a large project…grab a kit here.
our order of kid cotton yarn arrived so mom has been working on a sampler style afghan. kid cotton yarn has not been loaded to the website yet…but you can see the luscious pastels below. i’m slowly working through our shop and getting items online. these are on the list…if you can’t wait…drop me a line and i’ll set up a listing for you. $11/ball.
have a wonderful tuesday…hopefully you can find some stitching time!
good morning! mom and i are back from bemidji. we had a wonderful time teaching Brazilian Embroidery, catching up with Bonnie, and kicking off our shows for 2020.
we’ve been getting the shop switched around to showcase some of our favorite collections…right now…we are falling in love with Rue 1800. Soft, gentle, sweet, summery…perfect florals, classic paisleys, gorgeous colors of rose, porcelain, dove, robin’s egg, and cobblestone. i want to drop everything i’m doing and start cutting up a jelly roll (what i would make i’m not quite sure but the colors are so welcomed after a chilly winter).
the precuts for this collection include honeybuns which work wonderfully with 1/2 inch hexies (if you are looking for a summery hand project)…a stars in the garden would be lovely!
we sprung for the entire 40 bolt collection because we couldn’t pick just 10 or 12 or 18 or 32. they are all just so pretty and the florals are a mixture of new and some classic which makes them perfect for mixing with their previous collections…especially Poetry, Porcelain, and Victoria. The dove and cobblestone lean more towards a brown…but still has a slight grey tone to it…truly lucsious!
here they are all snuggled into the mantle…(the colors are even prettier in person!)
all the yardage and precuts are online now…grab your favorites right here.
also…some new fingering yarn from the Uluru Collection by Queensland
lovely, soft, and perfect for a little weekend knitting. grab a ball here.
gabby-goo is getting impatient so i’d better get going.
we’ve been pottering around the shop this week…ordering in some yarn…doing a little cross stitch…a mini floor move.
our cross stitch order arrived bringing in some new Blackbird, La-D-Da, and With Thy Needle and Thread patterns…mostly Christmas with a few Halloween mixed in.
–i also didn’t know i wanted 3 stockings for each month either…but i do now…seriously debating the idea of just doing them ALL and putting them on a tree together and having it up ALL YEAR LONG…hmmm…
La-D-Da has a definite look…and i love it…a lot! that little Emmanuel pocket…perfect for little trinkets, small pine boughs, your favorite bulbs, sprigs of holly or mistletoe…or make a set and hang on the mantle.
doesn’t matter the time of year…i love the crows and the pumpkins. these cross stitch beauties look like they came over with the pilgrims which makes them all the better…maybe a Salem witch was stitching one.
you can nab your next holiday cross stitch pattern…here.
Yarn has arrived! we started off with a little sock yarn and a queensland collection that was used in a Market Bag. i’m putting Tina to work knitting…since knitting is not my jam. We also dropped off some mini skeins of Bee in My Bonnet with Mel in case she decides she wants to do a little crocheting on these chilly winter evenings…(i love crocheting…however, there is only one of me and i really want to finish up a couple of the vintage flower gardens…i’m itching for a quilty finish…hopefully before thanksgiving…still debating which stitchery project i’m going to tackle.)
i LOVE LOVE LOVE the splotchy goodness of those sock yarns ( i love splotchy and speckled so be prepared for lots more of that in the future)…the 2 top middle skeins are perfect for some fall socks! hopefully tina can kick out a pair before thanksgiving cuz i’m thinking my tootsies would love to snuggle in the for the day in a pair of them!
knitting needles and crochet hooks will be arriving on monday…i’ll pop back with piccys of them…check out our current stock of yarns, crochet, and knitting goodness here.
our next order of yarn is supposed to arrive early december…perfect for hostess gifts, gift giving, stocking stuffers, or just-cuz!
