Fig Tree

The new Fig Tree quilt is not quite finished–when it is we’ll be switching around the store, putting Fig Tree in the window and moving Anna Griffin over to the other bed. It will look like summer; we can’t wait! Also, Fig Tree will be piloting their new club in a couple weeks, we are thinking of joining it. Cost per person will be about $10.00 this includes free and i believe exclusive patterns. We’ll have more information if/when we sign-up. Let me know if you are interested. It should be fun.

Quilt MN 2009

Quilters–I’ve included a picture of all the prints ont the bolt and another of our quilt “Minnesota Fudge”. We will have this kitted and available for pre-order. Fabric retails for $8.99/yard. Fat quarters are $2.75 each. There are 16 different fabrics in 7 different prints and 6 different colors. Quilt Minnesota starts Friday, July 31st, but get your fabric paid for now, so you know you have it!

pour coudre

“pour coudre” is french for “to sew”. we are putting together another book and this will be the name. it will have several patterns for quilts that have a cottage look to them. easy, scrappy blocks that are perfect for summer. that’s something i’m looking forward to especially after that week of brrr cold weather.

with the new year here and 2008 a distant memory we’ve got many things in store for 2009.

Hawaiian Celebrity Cruise Bus Tour–5 shoppes and 5 designers.  $65.00 for the day includes transportation, meals, and a chance to meet 5 celebrity designers.

new block of the month

the snow has come twice this week and i can’t remember the last time i made a snow angel. this year i won’t pass up the chance.
moving on, mom is hard at work on the new block of the month. she has 4 of the 12 blocks done. we are planning to have it on display saturday, dec 13. stop by and check it out. if you won’t make it to town email me and i’ll email you a pic along with info and cost.

holiday season

with the holiday season upon us, we are bustling.  new things are always coming to the front-moving to the back-taking our focus from the current.  there are just so many new things out there and even more on the way.  most recently we’ve put together a tree skirt and matching table topper using a variety of prints so it’s scrappy.  then i quilted the tree skirt with an antique tan and the topper with burgundy.  it speaks of a long ago christmas when time stood still and we stopped for a moment and enjoyed it.
