cottage jotter1

need a little pick-me-up?  something pretty to toss in your satchel, overnight tote, or purse?  a little jotter for notes, ideas, quotes, patterns, and projects?  a small memento for your wedding party, weekend guests, or trip to the ocean?

well…we have just the thing for you!  our cOttage jOtter fits the bill…it is pretty, small, and wonderful!

what you need:
1–5 x 8 1/2 inch scrap of fabric (we ripped it for an unhemmed, farmhouse edge.)
1–5 x 8 1/2 inch sheet of cardstock (i printed it with “This book belongs to________.”)
5–5 x 8 1/2 inch sheets of plain white paper
5–5 x 8 1/2 inch sheets of graph paper
2–7 inch pieces of ribbon

1

Lay the cardstock with printed side down and fabric print up.  Stitch around outside of paper…be sure to put the ribbon ends between the fabric and the paper at each end.

2

Fold in half to get the center. 4

Layer outer cover, plain paper, graph paper.

3

Stitch down crease…be sure to back stitch at each end to secure.

5

Using a boning tool or a pair of heavy metal scissors…crease.
